Babycakes is an English colloquialism that is used to as an affectionate term of address.  A colloquialism is a word or phrase that has arisen from English but is not considered formal or grammatical. Colloquial words or phrases are used very frequently in spoken English.  The term baby cakes is occasionally found in reference to actual small cakes, either cupcakes or perhaps cookies, since the at least the mid-1800s but seems to be more a term of endearment than a type of cake.

Meaning of ‘Babycakes’

Babycakes (and honeycakes) is an affectionate nickname for one’s spouse or significant other, similar to sugarpie, sweetie, sweetheart, dear, or honey.

Babycakes is often heard in film as a term used by misogynistic males or assorted bad guys as a sexist way to address women, but this is true of almost any of the usual terms of endearment used among married couples, etc.
