It’s all good is a phrase used to express several similar feelings or sentiments, usually of a positive nature to signal that ‘everything is all right.’
Meaning of Idiom ‘It’s All Good’
1. Used as a response after someone makes a mistake and apologizes. It’s all good means it’s okay; I am not upset; I am not concerned; and there are no hard feelings.
Sentence Examples:
“I think I lost that DVD you lent me. I’m sorry!” “It’s all good. I have that album on my phone, anyway.”
“I’m sorry about yelling at you yesterday.” “It’s all good. I know you were having a bad day.”
2. Used to say generally that everything is fine; I’m doing fine; all is right; I am doing well. The phrase is usually used in this way after someone expresses concern or fears that everything is not well.
Sentence Examples:
“Are you okay?” “Yep, it’s all good. Just getting over a cold is all.”
“I heard you had an accident. Are you okay?” “Yep, it’s all good. It wasn’t my accident. I just got held up because of an accident in front of me on the road.”
3. Used to say that all of the options available are acceptable; one can choose whatever they like.

“We don’t have much for dinner. We could do chicken tenders or pasta.” “It’s all good. Whichever you want is fine with me.”
“Does your son have any allergies? Should I avoid anything in particular during their sleepover?” “Nope, it’s all good. He thinks he’s allergic to strawberries, though.”
4. Used as an alternative for ‘you’re welcome’ after someone expresses thanks. This is an informal way of responding to “Thank you.”

“Thanks for the ride. I know it’s out of your way.” “It’s all good; no problem!”
“You didn’t have to spend so much on the wine!” “It’s all good. It was my pleasure.”
