Origin
Wazoo means anus and has been used in this sense, for unknown reasons, since at least the early 1960s. The alternative gazoo is sometimes heard. Although this idiom is often considered vulgar or offensive, most speakers probably do not realize what the term ‘wazoo’ refers to.
